How can I do a redirect back to another page?

I have an activation link I am sending via email and then a script in a file activate.php

When it finishes I echo out whether it is successful or not.

After a short interval I want to redirect them back to the site home page...

How would I do that piece? I suppose I could include an html file that has a redirect in it, but is there a more direct way through the php? 😕
