Puzzled over uploading jpg files and calling it

Hi all

Relatively newbie in mysql and php scripting. I have developed a product catalog, right now I need to add some images to my catalogue. How may i go about it?

I would add an extra varchar field into the relevant mysql table and within this varchar hold the path to where the image is held on the server. Another way to do it would be to save all your images in the MySQL table as blobs but I wouldn't recomend that as it makes the table slower to traverse.

Okay, the administrator should be able to upload the images onto the webserver, currently hosted on localhost. I hope to be able to get the image file to be copied over to that directory and thereafter, if i go to show products.php. i can retrieve the image out together with the descriptions, etc.
