Advanced Contact Form

Hi,

I am in need of a contact form script. I have tried seraching for what I want on the Internet, but have not found one that has what I need.

My script needs to be in PHP (obviously), but in my form that I have setup, the visitor can select which department they want to email, and the value of the INPUT SELECT is the different email addresses for the departments. I need the recipient of the email to be this value.

The visitor also selects the subject for the email. I also need to specify which fields are required, and validate them and warn the visitor of incomplete fields when submitted wrong.

The script must also take the visitors email which they submit and put this in the "From" area in the email. I would also like the script to valide that a real email address has been submitted.

If anybody is able to help me with this, orpoint me in the right direction as I am a beginner which PHP, and have only a little knowledege of it, I would appreciate it!

start by having an html form in an html file, and have it post to a php file, which will do the processing.

when a form posts to a php file, the php automatically has all the form contents in an array called $POST - ie if you have fields from, to, name etc your php script can then read $POST['from'], $_POST['to'] etc etc
