"I think, therefore, I am"
That's the confusing part of living. Becuase lets assume for the sake of argument that when I'm dead, I'm dead and that's it. It begs the question. All that I thought was all that I was but I am no more.
It makes living seem pointless. Which brings me back to -
Why are we here?
Our sense of self is derived from our experiences and interactions of the world around us. It allows us to distinguish our selves as separate unique entities. As its our brain that does all this for us (or so it is thought) it means that our entire grasp of everything is a picture conjured up by our brain.
One of the most confusing aspects of life (for me anyway) is my perception. Not only of people but of the world around me and the subtle changes of that perception.
