HELP with MSsql and PHP

OK I've got a problem I have never had before.

Here's what I'm trying to do.

There's a MS sql DB on a remote server. It is storing info on products I need for my site (product names, prices, descriptions etc.) I want to take all of the info from their MS sql DB and populate a mirror image of it in a MYsql DB on my own server. (the info doesn't change very often so I only need to be able to update it once every 6 months or so)

I've read all about Sybase but none of the hosts I'm currently using support it. Is there another way I can do this. I have two linux hosting accounts but neither have Sybase. (and I don't have access to a linux host)

I'm starting to think I'll have to find som,eone to do this for me and then supply me with the DUMP SQL from the DB for me to install on my server?

Assuming that you can access both DBs from the same php environemnt, all you need to do is use two separate connect strings...one to the MSSQL db, and the other to MYsql DB...query MSSQL db, insert results from first query into MYSQL db.

I got that far but for some reason on none of my hosts will PHP recognize the mssql_connect or any other mssql functions.

this is the error I get

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mssql_connect() in /home/ihenman/public_html/MObii/db10.php on line 2

That file should connect but it won't recognize it...What's the problem on my hosts I need too fix any idea?
