echo & print

Hello everyone

Can someone explain to me in plain english what is the difference
between echo and print. I'm new to php and find that in my script I tend to use print and echo, although both seemed to work for me, I'm worried I need to set some sort of standards in my codes.

PHP provides a link to http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/view.phtml/aid/1/fid/40 for the difference, dont know if it works.

But generally they are the same, im guessing they left print from the C language..

But use echo, as its a bit faster then print

They both in general behave the same, although echo can take more than one parameter and will print out them all,

Probably you will be best to choose a one which suits your needs and then stick to it throughout your code just for the sake of consistency.
