ssi like tag for a php page

Hi Board

I have a tracking cgi script that uses a ssi tag like
 when a page loads,
I cant seem to find a (ssi like tag) that will work on a php page

I remember reading a tutorial saying something about virtual() being used to execute cgi scripts in PHP.

Its a tracking script which does not return a Content-type header. I did try That tag but it didn't work but thanks

AddHandler server-parsed .php

to your httpd.conf or your .htaccess file

I will try that I would really like to use that ssi tag, but is that a safe thing to do and would it interfer with my forum php pages and fuctions?

ok, I'll admit I've never tried it and I don't even know if it will work. However, as far as screwing this up, if your php scripts consist of text files with PHP delimiters here and there, well, your Webserver kinda handles SSI and PHP the same. What I mean by that is that your Web server finds the PHP code and hands it over to PHP to render some text. SSI includes are the same in that the Web server sees the SSI code and simply inserts the text before actually sending the file to your browser. I don't see how they couldn't coexist in this manner.

Hi This is what I came up for my problem

This worked perfect every time java enabled and disabled
If somone uses this make sure to put your path to a spacer gif
one could turn off images in their browser but that would really be extreme and rare.
