also..... how are you going to make a viable station when your target audience is skint / has pocket money of a poorly paid after school / college job and your listenership is at school / college during daytime hours....
does the uk need another radio station - there's hundreds out there now and most of them are playing the same crap at the same time as all the others...... yawn.
i've known some great broadcasters turn their back on the industry because it's gone downhill and the decent money dried up - I've also heard talentless, stuttering, nasaly whining presenters seem to get regular work by reading links straight from a magazine or cue card......
doing the evening show is a guarantee of free food, free drink and more nubile young women than you can shake a stick at if you play your cards right which is a bit of a bonus ๐
