Uploading

Ok I am not sure if i am in the right section or not.

On my web page, i want to have an upload button where a user can press the button and a Open File dialog window appears. From there they can select a .wav file and upload it to the database.

I have no idea how to go about doing this.

So any guidence in the right direction would be greatly appretiated .

Good place to start the PHP Manual: Handling File Uploads

On shared servers, you may lose possession (ownership) of the file. So your going to have to CHMOD to something you can use. This can lead to security issues.

But after reading that and many other things. I still can't get it. I'll post code later.

But a thought. Do i need to have another PHP page just for uploading?

I have it attached to a self submiting page.
