adding PHPSESID automatically? ...

Hi, I have a web page that doesn't use the url to send any kind of data... it's all done by forms and sessions... but sometimes when I load the page the url of the link still shows something like domain.net/link.php?PHPSESID=8g7ffgdf9fggrgg0tdggg9 despite NOT using the url...

Why is that and is there any way to get rid of it?

a form method of GET I would guess.... cant rightly say without see your <form> lines with its action/method attributes

That doesn't happen when using forms at all... it happens even when I click a link like <a href="domain.net/sub/index.php"> ... when clicked, the url bar and the status bar displays the link like this: http://www.domain.net/sub/index.php?PHPSESID=df987sdf865s78fszhjskfje5.
And I dunno whats doing this... :-|

This causes your page to parse PHPSESSID to other pages the code u have seen along with index.php?weihr923842hi3h428936428y is generated by phpsession function.

it wont do any thing to your program

This only happens when we start browsing the page.

The first time I come to the site all the links have this (in status bar where I can see where the link is pointing) PHPSESSID value added. The second time the page loads (when we click a link), the PHPSESSID disappears and the links are all back to normal (like http://www.org.net/domains.php and NOT like http://www.org.net/domains.php?PHPSESSID=897uf89vjklfn... in the beginning).

Now I'd really like to get rid of this (temporary) bug because web crawlers don't like ? and characters like this in the url...

Is there any way I can get rid of this?

I've seen the same thing on one of my sites and never figured it out (sessions are only used on a small no. of pages so i never bothered to figure it out).

Where are those guys with like 5000 posts when you need them? 😉
