Recompiling PHP with pfpro option

Hi all:

I need to recompile php with the --with-pfpro[=DIR] option.
I was reading the manual on using Verisign Payflow pro and it states:

These functions are only available if PHP has been compiled with the --with-pfpro[=DIR] option.
However, it doesn't say how! 😕 😕 😕

Any ideas, links, tutorials, are GREATLY appreciated.

My guess is that everyone is waiting for you to read some documentation. Pages like http://www.php.net/install for general installation instructions, and the user notes under [man]pfpro[/man] for PFPro-specific stuff.

For instructions on how to compile a program (which the PHP manual assumes you already know how to do), and in particular, instructions on how to compile PHP, there's the INSTALL file in your PHP source distribution (and if you don't have that you'll have a hard time compiling anything).

I have read the install page AND the pfpro pages on the manual.

The pfpro page states:

These functions are only available if PHP has been compiled with the --with-pfpro[=DIR] option.

Theinstall manual states:

...it is worth checking to see whether somebody has already built a packaged version of PHP with the features you need.

So, I've done my homework. However, there's no specific installation guide as to how to perfrom the recompiling with pfpro[=DIR] option . Hence my posting.

At this stage, I have contacted Verisign, they do not support PHP. I've contacted my Hosting Company, they couldn't help much either.

Totally stuck!
