Hello, and thank you for reading.
For the past 6 months I've had this excruciating problem on my site: www.internetdj.com that has plagued my precious hours with troubleshooting. As a "solution", I've just stated that I don't support Windows Media Player, only WinAmp.
However, we all know that in a M$ world, we need to support them too.
The problem: Windows Media Player 9.0 deletes my internetdj login cookie when I click on a .mp3 link hosted on internetdj.com. This doesn't happen when I use winamp.
To reproduce:
1: Login to internetdj: http://www.internetdj.com/user.php?action=login
1a: Cookie is set when you login. Expires next year.
2: Browse to any MP3 profile: http://www.internetdj.com/risda
2a: Notice that you're logged into the site by the "Welcome username" statement in the top of the page.
3: Click on the link for "Hi-Fi Stream".
4: Refresh the page, the welcome message is gone, and your cookie has been removed!
Any clues? Has everyone experienced this weirdness?
Michael aka "risda"
