[Resolved] what is diff. between upload_max_filesize and ---

Hi,

I could not understand the variation between these two directives in php.ini

upload_max_filesize and post_max_size

please tell me with some example.

i read it in the manual. but no way.

let's imagine upload_max_filesize and post_max_size both where 1MB
if you upload a file with a size of exactly 1MB you won't be able to send any text with that form too

upload_max_file_size 1,000
post_max_size 2,500

means: you can upload a file with a size of max 1,000 byte

total size of data you submit (meaning file and text entered in form like username, password, description of file, ...) may not exceed 2,500
so ou can enter 1,500 byte of text into a textarea if you upload a 1,00 byte file or enter 2,500 byte text into a textarea if you don't uplad anything
