upload/binary/ascii problem i think

hey there...
the ftp client im using isn't the best, but i can't use any different one. its WS_FTP LE. anyway i dont usually have any problems with file uploads, but recently some files, even though they are uploaded in ASCII, appear as though they have been uploaded in binary. i check the log and it says that it has been uploaded in ASCII so thats ok. however, when i call the page in IE its like it doesn't read the PHP code and it just prints it out like a text file, with some of the html showing up. i view the source of the page and its exactly the same as the php file offline...

any ideas anyone??

php doesnt care how messy your code is so thats not the problem. it sounds like the webserver isn't parsing the file as php. have you had php files on there before? or are these your first ones?

yeah i have a forums and all kinds of stuff ive written myself... and they are all fine!
