Combine SSI and php

if I had a file with php AND SSI what would I call it?

Im pretty sure it would have .phtml or .shtml im pretty sure .shtml if setup correctly will still be able to parse both SSI and PHP

Also try asking a server admin they would know file extenstions required and which can do what.

i didnt know that. Anyway basically what i was saying that the server admin (you in this case) would know the httpd.conf setting and know what file extentions do what.

I also think PHP can handle SSI as well. Not 100% sure if so there is your link between PHP and having SSI
