file management tools

Could any one suggest the best simple tools to manage the files on the server?

Upload, rename, delete etc.

And easy to be modified to plug in with my own programming pages.

So many tools out there, could anyone share me the experience of where to find the best ones or which is the one you like best. Thanks!

I have been reading these documents and it is really helpful.

Could anyone recommend me some free or commercial sample codes (systems) if you think it is best for my requirements from your experience.

If I cannot find one, I would have to write my own codes to do that now. I really don't want to reinvent the wheel. Specially my wheel will not be better than the wheels arleady being there for a while.

I was almost trying to make a rich text form editor by myself until someone in this forum recommend "htmltextarea" tool to me. It saved me days of works plus, my product would not be able to compare with "htmltextarea" tool of www.interactivetools.com.

So I hope someone can help me out on this file handling tool too.
