Search script for PHP3?

I found a free PHP script on the internet that I liked. However it only works under .php not .php3. Now.php3 is the only version of PHP that my website provider supports. I thought I could get away with just renaming all the files to .php3, but I was wrong. Can someone help make this script work under php3?

And when you change the extension to .php3, what errors?

Yo are seeing the code beacouse the file is .php, and if you provider didn't made some mime settings on the server to treat .php file as *.php3 files, the web server will treat them like a TXT file... change the extension to php3

I had looking more carefull to the code. You are starting the php code with <?php is not wrong, but it can be not recognized by the server, this is a configurabile optinon in PHP, if you change the extension to php3 and dose not work try to change all <?php to <? .

I changed all the pages and reference to pages to .php3 now instead of .php so my server will recognize them. I added search keywords: PHP Builder. When you first load search.php3 you get: Warning: Wrong datatype in call to extract() in /usr/local/etc/httpd/vhosts/www.homessouthwest.com/php3_search/search.php3 on line 19. This applies after and before the search on both .php3 pages. Yet the script seems to work regardless of this.
