Server stuck there? php, web server or database server issues?

I have some php pages with heavy php and database executions.

Once a while, I find that the php page is stuck there and nothing happens.

I have to go to the server and do the httpd reload. Then everything will be fine.

What is the cause that the page was stuck there? Is it because Web Server or is it because Database Server or is it because PHP?

What could I do?

if it worked after restarting httpd, then it is ur webservers problem, if it was db problems, you would most likely get errors

If it is web server problem, will it have to do with the php programming?

Does that mean my php page is too "heavy", use too much web server resources?

What is the best way to make more efficiency from the web server from the better programming ?

Could it simply be a time out happening?
Have you tried upping your max_execution_time to see if that helps?

If time out happens, will it have a "time out error" message, or just stuck in there showing nothing happening?

I've seen both....

May do nothing if you have error reporting low...

I forgot to mention that

say myphp_1.php was stuck. But at the same time, myphp_2.php is fine.

I open another browser trying to go to myphp_1.php, it is stuck too. and myphp_2.php is fine.

I then tried on another computer, same thing happens, myphp_1.php stuck, and myphp_2.php is fine.

Then I used httpd reload, then everything is fine. I cannot repeat the error again.

It seems that myphp_1.php thread hung in there somehow.

Can anyone pinpoint the problem for me with the more information I gave out above? It is TIME OUT? Increasing the time out limit will help?

By the way, myphp_1.php is one of the pages with heavy php and database executions.
