"fgetss" problem

What's up!Everyone. 🙂

I am using fgetss to read file from a file,fgetss can strip HTML tags as described in PHP function page.It runs well on Windows.However,when I uploaded them to the server(Linux),the fgetss can strip HTML but not JavaScript!! :eek: I try to use Perl Compatible Regular Expression to strip the JavasScript but I think I have to create many many regulations to strip it.Because they display it in the screen without any habit. e.g. Sometimes it displays xWord:,ascript:,"blue".....

Do you guys have any clue to strip HTML and JavaScript tags with fget function?Thanks. 🙂

www.php.net has some user submitted code snippets that remove script between <script> tags... if thats applicable...

Moonglobe,thanks for your input.

However,if I use fgetss,which strips HTML tags from the file,the javascript will also display in the screen.Most importantly,these JavaScript is href="JavaScript:WxWord("blahblah")> / ="JavaScript:WxWord...Do you know what I am saying?So,it's really troublesome to strip these irregular text.

but the href= should be cut with the tag it belongs to... and if it isnt, just use:

$text = preg_replace('#"java\\s*script:.*?"#','',$text);
