Any php napster style system available?

Are there any PHP music download system available? Some kind systems doing the business like the new Napster and Itone etc.

Music download, user and payments management, music file management and trackes, multilevel marketing...

Any information about this kind system are welcomed.

Plus, if you have any non tech experience want to share are appreciated too, such as the marketing, competition and how to license the songs from the music industry etc., and are there different approaches (such as different license of the songs from the music industry) suitable for different phase of this kind business? For example, in the beginning, there might not be too many downloads. If the license is lum sum for the songs, it seems not profitable etc.

no, because PHP is server-side and p2p networks require a client-server (or client-client) relationship.

I may not need the Napster's client side such as playing the sound online.

All I need is a server to hold the music files (manage too) and let the paid clients to download the music and keep the track of the downloadings. Plus, multilevel marketing tools plug in.

So this is only a server side job, right?

yup it would, you'd just need to force them to log in, then when they buy a track, write the data out from a database field to a .mp3 (you can automate putting them in ti's not hard) and dump that to a rand()-ed link that you give them. if you make the link's directory (i.e /downloads/) chmod without execute i dont believe your server will be able to list the directory, stopping others from downloading songs they shouldn't. then you can just clean this directory every hour or so.
