[Resolved] Automatically sending a fax

We've got a client who wants to automatically send a fax from their website.

Essentially - when a property is added a fax is sent to a matching user.

Is this possible? We're in Australia.

i would think so. the server would need a fax program that can be accessible via an api. you could then use the [man]exec[/man] functions to open the fax program and pass some parameters. Note the server would also need a fax modem card and telephone access.

There are also a few companies that provide this service. I have seen them on www.downloads.com, but they are pricy

i've used them in the past and it works a treat, you just send an email to their server and it handles the rest, think they can cover Aus to.

I'll get back to my client with the two options and see which one they want to do.

They don't have their own server so I'm guessing they'll go with the fax service.
