How do you display text from another site - XML, RSS feed, or what?

Hi all,

I'm wondering how I can let people display text from my site on theirs. For example, my page might say "Today we're going to eat PIZZA for lunch." I want them to be able to display this on their website from mine, and if tomorrow I update PIZZA to HAMBURGERS, it auto-updates on their page.

How do I do this as simply as possible? PHP? XML? RSS feeds? Any tips or super-simplified tutorials would be fabulous. Thanks!

I usually use RSS feeds, but if it's something as simple as a couple words, I'd probably make a user-accesable text document off of the root they could read from.

Thanks for the response! I've looked for a super simple RSS feed tutorial, but can't find a good one. Could you show me a simple-as-possible example, or point me to a good one?

Here's a tutorial about how to plug RDF feeds into your site, so all you need to do is have a look at what makes an rdf file and then get PHP to write to a file that others can pick up.
