Help Retriving lost PHP Builder password

Hello All,

I hope i am asking this question in the correct place.

The problem is that I forgot the phpbuilder site password, and the email which i was registered as is no longer accessible. So the reset password option is no longer useful for me.

The forum password i remembered and it is different from the one for the site.

Please tell me how to retrive the password? Or can someone change the old email with my new email, as I had done it in the forums.

1 problem would be how to verify that you actually own the account.

if you have someway to authenicate your identity, you can send an email to [e-mail]

Thanks for the suggestions.

I posted a mail to [e-mail].

Regarding the verification of account, I think there are other info present in the profile. Which can be used to verify the claim.

Also this forum is having the same username, only the password is different.

Any way I am now waiting for the staff reply.

Hi Friends,

Till now no reply from the staff. And i don't think they will replying, because 2-3 weeks before also i submitted a similar mail from the site(contact form), and there is no response till date.

Does anyone else know how to get the lost password.

Still nothing +ve from anyone/anywhere.

I don't know why the admins are taking this much time to execute this simple sql query:

UPDATE tablename SET email='[e-mail]' WHERE username='girishn' AND email='[e-mail]'

(remove the '_'s if you are seariously thinking to execute the sql statement.)

All I want is just replace the email id, so that i can get a new password from the frogot password form.

Girish, we have 50,000+ members. As the board gets older, more and more people come back after a hiatus, during which time their email address changed. It's not as easy as changing the address in the DB. I have to be sure everyone is who they say they are.

I'll see what I can do. I have a concall in a few and will check into this afterwards.

What is wrong with your new login? I fail to see the point of bothering the admins to resurrect your old login when the new one works just fine. Just wondering.

Girish, the email you provide in the SET section is the email address that's listed. What is the email address you'd like it changed to?

I think every body is overlooking the first post.

The problem is that I forgot the phpbuilder site password, and the email which i was registered as is no longer accessible. So the reset password option is no longer useful for me.

So, I am having the correct login/pass for the forum with me, that why i am posting here.
But the login/pass details of the main site (Goto www.phpbuilder.com -> my Account). the problem is there. I don't know why there are two seperate login details for site and forum.

Please look into the DB of phpbuilder.com->my Account and not for the forum DB.

Hi, I would like to thank u all for providing the support for getting my account restored. (Don't know whom thank specially)

Now i can login to my phpbuilder account.

But, i had to do some more trick before getting hold of the account.
As I requested to change my email id to 'girishn2003 @ yahoo . co . in' (without space) , but it was changed to 'garishn2003 @ yahoo . co . in' (without space) . Read the difference of 'i' and 'a' in the id part.
At last fed up i thought of registering a new account at phpbuilder. but a quick thought of creating another 'garishn2003' account at yahoo came up! and thankfully the userid was available and the idea worked. And I got the new password generated by the reset password program.
The thing is that I don't really care about the extra yahoo ID but i do care about the ID at phpbuilder.

So, finally after 1year, 2months, and 2 days my i could update my profile 🙂
