One Server, Two PHP versions

Heya!

In www.php.net I see in some where that is possiblie to have 2 php versions in same server,but don't have explanation about that.

Anyone can tell me if is easy to do that or is more easy to upgrade the version of php?

I am using Red Hat 8.0, Apache 2 and PHP 4.2.2 ... and I want to test if are no problem with new versions...

by the way, I have minimal knowlegd about linux.. if anyone have a how-to for newbies ehhe will be better :p

How far of a jump are you going, are you gonna install PHP5 beta. If not and you're thinking about 4.3.3, there is NO reason in having both of them, since they are marginally different, the main difference is some bugs that were fixed...

hmmm... in that case I will upgrade to 4.3.3 ...

you know any how-to upgrade php on red hat (step-by-step if possible :p ) ?

was it originally installed as an RPM or a tarball

I have installed red hat with full packs ..
