Problem w/ query and switch case

Hi folks i had another attempt to work on a couple of problems i have with this annoying script but not getting anywhere. I have recreated the script for you gurus to analyze and i also provided the source code. I'd appreciate it if you can have a look at the link to all the switch cases and source code. I am really eager to get this working. Please Please Please help me out

Im not sure I understand.

You want it to search the data by a user defined letter?

I am actually trying to search using various methods. As you see from the script on the website my first search Case is alphabetical it seems to work but only to extract data with the letters A.

In the second case, option=2, i try to use a keyword search however the SQL query doesnt work and i get nothing.

In the third and final case which is displaying all of the results everything works fine however when coming to display showing pages 1-20 , 21-40 it doesnt work properly instead i get 1-20, 20-40 and etc i have tried adding one but that made things even more complicated.

Hope that makes it clear. Hope to hear some feedback.
