I recently installed a PHP-based chat on our
family website. The one I used was Simple
Chat from http://hot-things.net (NOT .com!).
I have it set up and running, but there's
a slight problem I'd like to solve: the page
refresh rate is a painfully slow 20 seconds.
The readme.txt says you can choose
between 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 seconds, but
forgets to tell you how.
I'd be extremely grateful for help. Maybe
you've used Simple Chat yourself, or know
which commands in PHP address refresh
rate, so I can find them in the PHP files
and change them myself - or, if you're really
feeling you'd like to help me, you could
download Simple Chat from the link above
and tell me what I have to change to
get the refresh rate down.
