Good Book for Advanced PHP

Hi all,

I have read a number of PHP books to learn PHP and progress to an intermediate level. I started off with "Sams Teach Yourself PHP in 24 Hours" but I am now researching the web i.e. Amazon etc for a much more advanced book which explains concepts in greater depth.

Are there any books that people would recommend to cover advanced topics e.g. array manipulation, xml, extensions, oop, php classes etc.

try this. 😉 after you read it a couple of times you'll know everything you'll ever need to know about PHP.

as for concepts, my advice is to go look at code examples (the manual notes are pretty good!) and try and figure out what they're doing. that's what i did, but if you don't catch on really fast, you might want to check out some of the books previously suggested on the forums. there have been many threads on this very topic before. there IS a seach button*......

I think it's going to be quite some time before we actually see PEBodMyAdmin. In fact...the PEBoD may actually be dead by then. Would be a whole lot to "administer" 😃
