encoding html tags?

Hi there,

I'm inserting my data in a database and this is the text "Ministerie van financiën". This text is inserted and when i retrieve it again from the database it says ë instead of the ë.

If i look in the db it is also saved as ë.

Could someone help me out with this? Some kind of function?

I suppose you could try escaping that character, but I'm guessing that it's really a character set encoding issue.

Chapter 4.7 of the MySQL manual deals with localization issues ... might help!
