Check Column exists!

Ok, I have everything on my script working fine exept one last thing. I know this is probably a very simple answer, but please help.

When a user logs into a section of my site, I have a recordset that is quiried by the members username. Using this same table. I want to be able to check if the user has submitted their vehicle year, make, model information yet. If they haven't, have the form automatically echo on page load, "Please submit your vehicles information."

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
