Merve got it, the most common is e. In a random string of english text e is used about 12% of the time, t is second coming in at 10%

Most Scrabble players like to have some letters from 'starline'. I like to have some letters from 'roastline' mainly because it is very easy to get stuck with a lot of I's. I played against someone who later told me he had 6 I's in his rack. No wonder I got no I's!
