displaying images and thumbnails

I just installed apache2 and php in my windows xp machine.
I want the web page to display images an dthumbnails.
I downloaded imagebrowser.php.

But it does not display the images but puts just a 'x' mark.
However it seems to know the number of images and the directory structure.

any clues to what is happening and what I should do to fix it?

View the HTML source and check the image path.. MY guess is that the href on the <img> does not exist.

imagebroser.php dynamically creates the html.
The html file itself
The images are in the directory and I can see them through the directory browser.

here is a snippet of the generated html

the fiel bost_panorama is very defintiely exists and I can see it!
but the generated html does not display it

Try typing http://www.yourdomain.com/path/to/image/bost_panorama.jpg if it shows on the browser

I did what you suggested and I get the message

"this page cannot be found."

I moved the jpg file to the top level web directory for this.

There are lot of images in sub directory called "canon"
interestingly when I type

nanjil.dydndns.org/canon

it lists all the files in the directory , shows there are a lot jpgs but ntohing happens when I click on them

I am also unable to download them with the right click
the message I get is

"the connection with the server was reset"

Is it some setting in apache I am unaware of?

my problems were apparently due ot apache on windows. for some reason it was not able to recognize jpg files.

I have switched to apache running under cygwin. No problems now
