.html and php scripts

I have already observed that it's quite impossible to execute a php script within a file with an html extension.

Is there any alternative ways to do that?

What i want is to execute a script 2 lines php for my counter.

You just need to specify in your php.ini file to parse .html files with php

You'll probably be able to do this with JavaScript. If people turn it off in their browsers, screw them! 😃

Okay, so that won't work. Contact the person who does own the php.ini . Maybe he/she will be nice and make the modifications for you. I'm guessing that they might not, since it will take longer for any HTML page to load if PHP has to parse it. Maybe they could force everybody else to change to the .htm file extension?

Also if your using Apache Web Server you can edit the httpd.conf file with this line:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

and that'll do it. although if you dont own the php.ini file then you probably don't control the server either.....we'll see
