I run the website for the Sailing Club I am a member of and have been asked if the website could be used for people to volunteer for duties. I am sure that it can and that a combination of PHP and MySQL is the way to go, but I am not sure where to start.
What I want to do is have the dates listed down the left hand side and then the category of duty listed across the top. Is the best way to have a link in each available date/duty or create a form which then updates the database?
Has something like this been written in the past which could be amended?
