simple save login example request

Dear all,

i have searched many pages but still can't find any simple examples to save username and password if the use check

"Log me on automatically each visit " check box.

i just want to do that if the user check the box, every time he/she visit the login page, the username and password will be filled automatically and just click a login button can login.

anyone can share me examples will be appreciated..

You could use the setcookie function - see http://uk.php.net/manual/en/function.setcookie.php for more information.

I think you are looking at this the wrong way round. The login screen should only be displayed if the user does not have the required credentials. The cookie() function also has a lifetime parameter which if you set to empty ('') prevents the cookie from getting deleted (unless of course the user deletes it 🙂 )
