[RESOLVED] Is there an error with my PHP coding?

I've been using this code for the past year:

if(!$page) {
include("http://www.nin-soft.com/ffx/main.php");
}
else {
include("http://www.nin-soft.com/ffx" . "$page" . ".php");
}
?>

I use it to insert .php files into my layout index.php, however a few months ago an error message appears on my site:

Warning: main(): stream does not support seeking in /home/andy2586/public_html/ffx/index.php on line 153

I was told it has something to do with the PHP code being changed. I'm not very good with the PHP thing so if you can help can you explain it to me like I was dumb so I fully understand.

Take a look here, for example. Several complaints.

However, I just built PHP 4.3.4, and I'm not able to duplicate your issue on it. What version of PHP is your host running now?

Of course, there is another issue... are those "local" files you're including?
