Just a quick newbie question, how do I get the url of tha page ie whats in the address bar. I assume its something like $HTTP_SERVER_VARS... but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.

Use the $_SERVER array. This has been answered a bunch of times. You can search the forums to find the exact fields.
