i want to see .htaccess file and delete that file from my folder there is no use of .htaccess file for me. is there any idea to delete it and how can i edit actually i am using net2ftp for uploading files.

    Let's see. Sounds like a problem with net2ftp specifically. So... well, I've never used net2ftp and don't know anything about it, not even its home page, so I'll just use Google and what do you know? The first link reads Net2FTP Forums -> Hidden Files. Well, that doesn't look quite right, but hey, there are a whole bunch of net2ftp forums here, I'll search those.

    That could explain some things. When was that? May? Maybe there's a more recent version that has the fix alluded to.

    Well, the Changelong for version 0.73 (oh, so it's not even a 1.0 yet - still incomplete, in other words), says (among other things):

    • Some FTP servers do not show hidden files by default.
      By using the -a option those files are now shown.

    Well, counting reading the original post, searching, writing this up, reading today's Dilbert, that took me fifteen minutes. Dunno if it's correct or sufficient, but I think I may have made more progress than many.
