Contact doesn't forward email

I just created this "Contact Form," but for some reason it doesn't forward it to the email address? Can someone please explain why? I would appreciate it? Thanks.

Jallard, this has nothing to do with PHP, and a lot to do with the local configuration of the machine that you are using to view this code. I'm sorry no one's helped thus far, but given the nature of the issue, the fact that it's a holiday weekend (at least in the US) and given the tone of your "bosse de sarcasme", I'm not particularly surprised.

How do you know it doesn't work? What OS, browser, and mail client are you using to view this HTML page? What client are you using to check for the existence of this mail? Have your mail server logs been checked to see if mail's passing? Are you using any spam filters that would filter attachments, for example?

But some of us have to work. And in my view Thanksgiving should be every day, not just once a year. But that's another story and a whole nother ancient culture.

Btw, I found out what was wrong. My web hosting account was somehow cancelled by mistake and therefore I was unable to install PHP or CGI scripts. That situation has since been resolved. Thank God for those who work on holidays.

And, thank you for responding. It was thoughtful and much appreciated!

(Incidentally, I volunteered to carve 6 turkeys on thursday and still worked an 8-hour shift.)

But what you showed is a simple HTML form with a mailto: action, so how does being unable to install scripts affect a simple HTML page?

And, yes, Thanksgiving should be done daily...

It isn't the page that's the problem it is

"<form action="mailto: [e-mail]" method="post">

. It is suppose to be written like this:

<form action="/cgi/gdform.cgi" method="post">

And, it still doesn't work. Nor does it redirect to my thankyou.php page. Instead it redirects to another reseller page of mine?

Being a reseller for other companies is becoming a lesson in Internet fraud! Especially with WebHosting Companies
