Hosting problem with ADODB

I discovered ADODB when I was searching a db abstraction layer for MySQL and think that it's great! It's very easy to deal with a database through ADODB. I use MySQL and wrote a website with ADODB. On my local computer everything works very well (windows XP, EasyPHP) but every time I try to install my website on differents hosting, there is the same error eerytime: "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare unixdate() in /home/tadens/public_html/includes/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 1484".
I saw that a funtion "unixdate()" is declared in twice place into the class and don't saw any if clause separating the functiuns. I don't know why there is not an error on my local computer. So I am afraid to have the obligation to leave ADODB for an other database layer (thousands lines of code to re-write). Is someone had the same problem, and fixed it?
I am very desapointed and don't know what to do...

Are you using the same version of adoDB on your ocmputer and on the host? If not, try using the latest version. Also, what OS is the host running on?

Hi Melody!

The problem is fixed now. the UnixDate() function was declared in 2 places into the class (I don't know why).
By comenting the second UnixDate() function the class works again.

I used the same vertion of adodb but on my computer php is running with win XP and the web server is running with Linux and I cannot view the php ini file on my hosting.
