[Resolved] Identifying Users' Origins

Whenever I log into my CPanel account, it shows me a little bit of text that says:

Last login from: resnet148-214.medford.tufts.edu.

Where does it get that data from? It's not part of any SERVER or ENV variables or any other thing I've been able to extract from PHP variables. Thanks.

A DNS lookup on an IP ( with gethostbyaddr())?

Ah, yes. I ran

$hostname = gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']);

print $hostname;

and it spit out "resnet148-214.medford.tufts.edu"
