I asked about this over on pg-general and the response was "looks like you need to restore as a superuser":
I upgraded to 7.4 a few days ago and am getting these errors when importing dumps: "permission denied to set session authority" and "permission denied for schema public". Not all of the dump is imported successfully. Are these errors due to new features in 7.4? Do I need to add more permissions for users?
Are there some new security settings in PG 7.4 or something? Do I need to restore as superuser from now on? These errors never occurred pre-7.4.
