[Resolved] Session going missing

I'm doing a shopping site and keeping the user's basket and email address in $_SESSION. Payment is looked after by a payment provider - when the users clicks on the 'purchase' button on my site (a form submit button) they get redirected to the payment provider's secure page, where they enter their credit card details. When they click submit here, the payment provider processes their details, and then displays the response from my server on his page. Then the user can click on his page to return to the rest of the site (on my server)

The problem I'm having is - after the payment has been processed and my 'thank you' page is being displayed on the provider's server, the information I have stored in $SESSION seems to be inaccessible. I'm providing the session_id to the provider's server, and he's sending it in the http request and I use it in start_session() when i receive his request, but still all my $SESSION variables are blank

Any thoughts?

Are you in frames?

In the you ini file set this to 1: session.use_trans_sid

Not using frames
user_trans_sid is disabled - should it be enabled? Can I just enable it momentarily (using ini_get()?) in order to avoid security hassles?

I had a similar problem once, when I enabled session.use_trans_sid it worked....but I was using frames at the time.

Give it a shout and see what happens.

I ended up passing the session_id in the post vars, and then setting it using session_id() before calling session_start()
Works fine now
