[Resolved] Too many connections.

Hi,

On all of my pages i will get the error: Too many connections.

Now i did do my homework.(Probarly not good enought because i still don't knwo the solution)
I have searched this forum and find a tread with the same isue.
And in this tread there was an link towards the mysql site.
But this didn't worked for me.

I use mysql_query(), mysql_select_db() and mysql_connect().
And at the end og ALL queries i put this: mysql_free_result ($res) and mysql_close($db);.

So i mailed my webmaster for the problem and he said that it proberly was my fault.

But i don't know what i'm doing wrong ?
Can anybody help me ?

(It's not the number of hits, not very much people come on my newly created site.)

What suggested solutions did you try, and what were the results of those attempts - seeing as they didn't work? "They didn't work" is not really enough to go on.

With "this didn't worked" i meaned that it was not (don't know what's the word) uhm..based on my problem?.

I can't use it because in the mysql page he said that i shuoldn't use persistant conn and always end my queries with Mysql_close etc.

But i'm oing that!

Given that I never actually use MySQL, its manual entry for the error message suggests using SHOW PROCESSLIST to see what connections you have and what they're doing (though it takes a superuser to see all of the threads and not just your own). As it happens, many of the threads on this subject point out that using persistent connections tends to increase the number of connections.

If you're using connect, close and whathaveyou, then it sounds more like the DBMS or PHP is misconfigured.
