phpinfo() not current

I installed php with mysql support to run a phpBB board and everything is working fine but now I want to add GD extentions. I can't get that to work correctly but in order to see what my php has configured I am trying to use phpinfo(). The build date is listed as Nov. 12, 2003, which may be correct for my first build, or close to it. I have since re-built php, trying other options but phpinfo never seems to change. I have restarted apache many times, after every build, and even re-booted. Does anyone know where phpinfo get it's information or why it might not be updating? This might help me track down whether the build is actually occuring correctly.

I am installing on Red Hat Linux 6 with Apache 2, php-4.3.4.

I configure php with the following command

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php --with-mysql
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs

then:
make
make install

When I try to install the GD extensions I simply add --with-gd. I know I may need --with-jpeg and png. I did install jpeg but this is where I am stuck, I can't see in phpinfo() if gd or jpeg is installed since it seems to have old information...or my information IS old.

You need to run 'make clean' before you run 'make'

Thanks, that worked. I just did "make clean", then "make install" and it seemed to work ok but do I need to issue the "make clean" before another "make" alone, then "make install"??
