Is it possible to make a transparent moveabel post box in php

Like some thing like this but transparant and it get values from
mysql and prints the value into the transperent box

That "transparent box" looks like textarea to me 🙂

that was an exampel 😃 is was meant to be that the text is in that transparent box or the box should not be there at all only the field wherer the text can span over
and this /\ are supposed to be scroll up and the other sholde be scroll down... you get the hang of it what i seek for..

The thing is that i heard of making it in JAVa arg not like that to hard i like to use it by php!

Just make it a <div> and style it how you want... (particularly overflow:auto)

is it possible to make this function overflow: auto; with on buttons and a transparent scroll bar in php or is that java...

the thing is that i want or if it is possible taht this

What I think you're trying to do is define a chunk of browser space to display a chunk of text provided by PHP. From what you're describing, you're not satisfied with the display properties (you don't want a scroll bar, but you want up/down buttons instead). This correct?

If so, PHP isn't going to help (other than to provide the content for this box). A Java applet might be able to do it. People good at Flash seem to love doing it. And I bet if you do some searching, there's some JavaScript/DHTML you could use to do this (it looks like you've got half of the battle over with defining the CSS with the necessary properties - its just a matter of plugging the buttons in and thats a job for JavaScript).

For one thing, you're looking at Javascript, not Java - they're two different languages. (Why have they've got similar names? I dunno; some sort of marketing wheeze between Netscape and Sun if I recall.)

When I've needed help on Javascript I've found www.codingforums.com to be helpful.
