redundant results

I have a table with products that is searchable by a php page.

in many cases a single product shows up for each physical location that stocks it.

how can I have the product show up only once but display all the locations that have the product in a single listing?

any suggestions?

Maybe I'm not fully understanding this but you should be able to do it with a simple query...

$query = "SELECT location FROM loactions_table WHERE product = '$product'";
$result = mysql_query($query) or die (mysql_error());

echo "$product is available at:";

while ($data = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {

    echo "$location";

The echo in the loop is wrong.

while ($data=mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
   echo $data['location'];
}

lets try that again.

example table

isbn title store
111-1111-111 some book 1
111-2222-111 another book 3
111-1111-111 some book 2

now I want to see this in the results

another book available at store #3
some book available at store #1 and 2

and not

another book available at store #3
some book available at store #1
some book available at store #2

I could just avoid having dupes in the table, but I want the stocking info
