Doc formatting for Print

I am running Red Hat Linux 9.0 and I have documents that need to printed out.

Since the php print functions only work with window machines I am using lpr to print the documents.

However, when I print there is no formatting (i.e. word wrapping or text bolding). Is there a way I can format the text before printing?
