Heres the deal. I have a website where landlords can list vacation rentals for free. They are able to write descriptions of their properties for future tenants to read. My problem is that most of the landlords are copy and pasting the text from other sources so I get very odd characters that break my scripts (I'm using PHP to parse XML). I'm using addslashes and stripslashes and also tried using cdata sections in my xml but no luck. The weird characters are things like small case i's with two dots over the top etc. So far I'm having to take them out by hand.
Any help is much appreciated.
