socket programming - can I catch IP address

I want to catch the IP address of a client that is communicating with known IP address ie of on my another webhosting server. Can do it using sockets or any other way. Have merry christamas

$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] will give you the client IP address. No need to use sockets, although you might be able to get a more authoratative answer there, not sure.
