File Upload with another form?

Hello everyone,

I believe this may be my first post... I couldn't even remember if I registered or not lol.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could add a file upload spot on another form, so that when I hit submit, it will send the form data plus the file i need uploaded?

What am I trying to do? I have a news system set up to add the latest updates and such to my website. It works fine, but I want to add an image along with the update. Thanks for all the help...

lol, as i was about to send this... I saw the attach file section below. This is exactly what I want to do... enter all this, upload the pic and hit one submit button.

Since I've written all this... I'm just going to submit it.... Even though I may found a solution.

do you just mean uploading with a separate form or actually submitting a file through a form from another server?

Thanks for replying sid. I have a form that uploads regular text to a database to insert on the front page of my website and I was just wondering if you could include file uploading on the same form. Which I found out you could and have changed my script accordingly.

I thought adding the enctype might change the form altogether, but now I kow better. I've gotten the script to upload the file/image to the directory and now I'm about to tackle adding the image path to mysql. So that when the user searches/looks at a specific post/product... the file uploaded with the entry will show up also.
